Education
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Michigan State University in 2012. I am currently a graduate student working toward my Education Specialist degree (Ed.S.) in school psychology from Ball State University. Right now I am completing my internship at a local Indianapolis school district. I plan on graduating in July 2017 and becoming a nationally certified school psychologist. Undergraduate GPA: 3.6 Graduate GPA: 3.9
Experience
As a school psychologist intern, my job every day is to work with students who are struggling in school and to help them become academically successful. I have experiences working with students from Pre-K to 6th grade in academic areas, such as reading, math, and writing. I have designed, implemented, and evaluated a number of academic interventions that use evidence-based strategies to promote growth and understanding in areas of need. As a tutor, I plan on using researched, data-driven methods to help your child improve. In addition to working with students as part of my graduate studies, I have also volunteered with organizations that promote literacy (e.g., The Capitol Area Literacy Coalition in Lansing, Michigan), have worked with children and adults who are considered English Learners (EL), and have experience working with individuals who have special needs. I would be very comfortable in helping those with any mental, behavioral, emotional, or developmental disabilities.
